Denali Kid Care – We’ll Fight Back

June 5, 2010

On Thursday Governor Parnell showed us his true colors. His action? He took away affordable medical care from 1,300 Alaskan children.

Sean Parnell stood with Frank Murkowski on Thursday.

One of my bitterest fights in public office occurred in 2003, when then-Governor Murkowski convinced Republicans to reduce the eligibility level for Denali Kid Care. It took a long time to reverse that action.

We need a change of leadership this November.

I know what we can do together. For the past four years, I’ve been part of a bipartisan team pushing for a Denali Kid Care increase in the Alaska Legislature.

And because of grassroots support from people like you, we won votes, changed minds and passed the bill. It wasn’t easy, but it was completely worthwhile.

This election is about Denali Kid Care, a vision of Alaska that puts Alaskans first, and much much more. You know my track record. I have been tough enough to fight for oil tax reform, to run a fair investigation of Sarah Palin, to fight the appointment of Wayne Anthony Ross as Attorney General. I’ve secured tangible results for Alaskans.

As governor I will continue to work with Republicans and Democrats to take care of Alaskan families, Alaskan workers, Alaskan fisherman, and the Alaskan enviroment.
