Do corporations now have more free speech rights than people?

Sen. Hollis French, an Anchorage Democrat and the committee chairman, said the committee will work on a bill to update state law.
“The thrust of a bill addressing the new rules must at a minimum get corporations and unions under the disclosure umbrella because, as was pointed out, there’s nothing on the books that requires them to disclose,” said French.
“Next we have to see what level of disclosure we can require within each advertisement with respect to where the money is really coming from,” he said.
