Central figure in investigation of Palin inks paperwork to run for governor
from KTUU Channel 2: Anchorage state Sen. Hollis French, a central figure in the Senate’s abuse of power investigation of former Gov. Sarah Palin, who resigned in July, is making his intent to run for governor official.
French says he is filing paperwork Wednesday to run for governor. The Anchorage Democrat announced his intent to run for the governor’s office in July, but he planned to make it official at noon.
“My years of working in the oil fields and in public service have taught me that when you want results, there’s no substitute for hard work and determination,” French said in a press release. “Alaska’s next fifty years promise to be as challenging and as rewarding as the first fifty, and I’m up to the challenge and would be honored for the chance to serve all Alaskans.”
